Scott R. Renninger, 46, of Orwigsburg died suddenly at his residence on Monday. Born on July 20, 1967 in Pottsville, he was the son of Ronald J. & Mary Ellen (Holland) Renninger of Pottsville. Scott was a 1985 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. After graduating high school he attended Bloomsburg University for three years. He was a former member of St. Ambrose Church, Schuylkill Haven. In 1990 Scott worked for Allister Manufacturing Co. in West Chester, PA for 6 years. He then accepted a position within the company as the Operations Manager for the West Coast where he relocated to Scottsdale, AZ. In 2000 he returned to Orwigsburg to work for Linear Corp. as an East Coast district sales manager. Scott was an avid automobile racing fan, he especially enjoyed watching Nascar. Scott participated in all Pottsville Area sports. He was a member of District 24 Little League Baseball Team. Scott will always be remembered as the “coach in the stands” as he watched his children at practice and games. Nothing brought more joy to Scott’s life than watching his children participate in sports. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, William & Mary Renninger, maternal grandparents, Joseph & Elizabeth Holland. In additional to his parents he is survived by his children Aidan and Emily, Orwigsburg; former wife, Andi Renninger, Orwigsburg; brother, Ronald Renninger, Jr. and his wife Carol, Pottsville; nephews, Ian and Cory Renninger. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday from the Saint Matthew the Evangelist Parish, 139 Spruce St, Minersville. Officiating will be the Rev. Leo Maltz. Family and friends may call from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Sixth and West Market St reets, Pottsville. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville.
