YORK - Sarah V. (Welsh) Buser, 89, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009 at York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Village. She was the wife of the late Harry E. Buser. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 301 West Philadelphia Street, York with her pastors, The Rev. Norman E. Spangler and The Rev. Craig Newton officiating. A visitation will be held from 12-1:00 PM Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born August 4, 1920 in York a daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Wolf) Welsh, she retired from Weis Markets, having worked at the former Bannister St. store, after more than 25 years. Mrs. Buser was a member of Otterbein U.M. Church; and the ladies auxiliaries for West York VFW, Shiloh American Legion, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and the Forty and Eight. She also enjoyed reading. Mrs. Buser is survived by two daughters, Susan E. and husband Charles Glatfelter and Kathleen E. and husband John Arnold both of York; two sons, Rodney S. Arnold and David W. Buser both of York; a grandson, Isaiah J. Arnold; three step grandchildren, Michael W., Corey A., and Daniel W. Arnold; three great grandchildren, Quinn, Jonah, and Elias Arnold; and a sister, Bernice Bahn of York. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Spencer and Walter Welsh, Jr.; and two sisters, Charlotte Reachard and Nellie Carabello. Memorial contributions may be made to York County Agency on Aging, 100 West Market Street, Suite 102, York, Pennsylvania 17401.
