Sarah N. (Brown) Corson

JERSEY SHORE - Sarah N. (Brown) Corson, 72, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born on July 12, 1942 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late James H. and Lucy (Luther) Brown, Sr. On April 12, 1990, Sarah married Paul Glenn Corson, who survives, and they celebrated 24 years of marriage together this year. Sarah served her country proudly in the United States Army Reserves. She worked at AVCO, Williamsport for 28 years as a secretary and then worked in Michigan with the Girl Scouts for six years. She was a former member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Williamsport. She enjoyed cooking and fishing. In addition to her husband, Sarah is survived by one stepson and daughter-in-law; Vincent P. and Lynn Corson of Exeter, New Hampshire, one stepdaughter and son-in-law; Wanda and John Byrnes of Wilmington, Delaware, one step grandson; Eli Corson, one step granddaughter; Jamie Coates, and two step great grandchildren; Angel and Noa Coates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; John Lawrence “Shaker” Brown and James H. Brown, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lycoming SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701. A gathering of friends and family will be held 2:00p.m.-3:00p.m., Saturday, January 03, 2015 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 followed by a memorial service at 3:00p.m. with the Reverend Bishop Charles V. Daniels, Sr., officiating.
