Sarah L. (Harris) Amos

FAIRLESS HILLS-Sarah L. Amos, 90, of Chelsea Rd., Fairless Hills, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Langhorne. Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 12, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Naomi (Williams) Harris. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Fairless Hills. Prior to retiring on June 6, 1979, she was employed by the Pennsbury School District for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Brinley F. Amos, who passed away on March 31, 2000. A brother, Richard Harris, Jr. and sisters Mary Lewis and Hannah Burgit also preceded her in death. Sarah was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by, her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Marilyn Amos of Levittown; grandchildren Barry Amos, Jr. and Michelle Vorters; great-grandchildren Cameron Vorters and Kevin Amos. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel, Hanover Township with interment following. The Reverend Carol E. Coleman will officiate. Friends may call Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m and Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
