Sarah K. "Katie" (Ricker) Hefferon

Sarah K. “Katie” (Ricker) Hefferon, 84, of Lock Haven, passed away on Sunday, December 20, at the Susque-View Nursing Home, Lock Haven. She was born on February 24, 1931, in Lock Haven and was the daughter of the late Clifford “Jake” and Sara (McGill) Ricker. Sarah was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Lock Haven where she volunteered and assisted with the Guild and the Strawberry Festival, the Telephone Pioneers and Spouses of retired State Trooper’s Association. She enjoyed sewing, traveling. She was an employee of Bell of Pennsylvania before her retirement. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 Katie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Timothy and Linda Miller of Springwater, NY and five grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband; Harry A. Miller, and her second husband; Joseph C. Hefferon, Sr., one son; Glenn A. Miller and one sister; Shirley Dunkle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 206, Lock Haven, PA 17745. A public viewing will be held 10:00-11:00a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd, Mill Hall, PA 17751 followed by the funeral at 11:00a.m. with the Ven. Canon Daniel L. Selvage of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will take place in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven at the convenience of the family.
