Sarah E. (Buffington) Jacobs

Lewisberry — Sarah E. (Buffington) Jacobs, 76, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late George E. Jacobs, Sr, the couple affectionately referred to each as “Roostie and Chickie”. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry. Officiating the service will be her pastor, the Rev. A. Lynn Hochstetler. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Tri-County Memorial Gardens. Born March 26, 1939 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late James M. and Bertha (Eby) Buffington. She was employed for a short time with CCNB (now PNC Bank) before becoming a dedicated and loving homemaker. Mrs. Jacobs is survived by two sons, James E. Jacobs and George E. Jacobs, Jr both Harrisburg; two daughters, Barbara E. Jacobs of Harrisburg and Joan E. Jacobs of Lewisberry; one granddaughter, Maxzine L. Jacobs of Harrisburg; and one great grandson, Izayah J.
