FREDERICK, MD - Sara M. Grove, 89, formerly of Red Lion, died peacefully at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Tranquility at Frederickstowne Assisted Living Center, Frederick, MD, with her family at her side. She was the wife of George A. Grove who died January 26, 2000. The couple had been married for more than 58 years at the time of his death. Following cremation, a service to celebrate Mrs. Grove's life will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. Mrs. Grove was born July 11, 1920, in Glen Rock. She was the daughter of the late Henry Jacob and Martha Viola (Lee) Williams. She was a 1938 graduate of the former New Freedom High School, and over the years, attended the United Methodist Church. She was a loving homemaker whose world revolved around caring for her family. She leaves her son, James H. Grove and wife, Julie of Burtonsville, MD; her daughter, Karen L. LeMay and husband, Robert of Southport, NC; Four grandchildren, Art, Brian and wife, Stacey, Andrea and husband, Rick, and Meredith; two step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; one step great-great granddaughter; her brother, Robert L. Williams and wife, Nancy of Shrewsbury; sister-in-law, Helen Reisinger; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Barry Grove and James Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, Olde Liberty Square, 4813 Jonestown Rd., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17109 or to a favorite charity.
