Sara L. (Garner) Snyder

YORK- Sara L. (Garner) Snyder, 93, died on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Pleasant Acres. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose, Ave., York with Reverend Skip Nizinski officiating. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Born on January 19, 1925 in Dallastown, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Bertha E. (Huson) Garner. Ms. Snyder was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in York. She was longtime volunteer at York Hospital where she received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Sara is survived by her son, Richard Snyder of Greenbriar, TN; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her sister, Ruth M. Reichert and husband, Phillip of Spring Grove. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Lee Knudson; and seven brothers, Stuart Garner, George Garner, James Garner, Perry Garner, Paul Garner, Sr., Charles Garner and Ralph Garner.
