Lewisberry—Sandra L. “Sandy” (Crotsley) Witters, 70, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Penn State Health – Milton Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Charles E. Witters to whom she was married for 44 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements.

Born September 10, 1954 in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Crotsley and Nela Jean (Koontz) Kennedy.

She was employed for several years as a stockroom clerk at various local retail stores including, Hills and Ames Department Stores.

An avid crafter of plastic canvas, she enjoyed her time engrossed in puzzles and bowling. She was the “neighborhood mom” and proudly held the title of “fright night queen”. A 1974 graduate of Altoona Area High School, she was also member of Lewisberry Fire Company and New Cumberland River Rescue Ladies Auxiliaries and volunteered as a security guard for the Lisburn Fire Company.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Witters is also survived by her daughter, Loretta Hill and her fiancé, Andrew Richcreek of Lewisberry; two grandchildren, Jordan Hill of Lewisberry and Samantha Richcreek of Lewisberry; three brothers, Ray, Mike and William Kennedy; three sisters, Ruth Noel, Glenda Fisher and Bonnie Socie; sisters-in-law, Linda Koppenhaver and Donna Thornhill; brother-in-law, Don Witters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Kay Lingenfelter and one brother, Paul Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
