Sandra L. (Peters) Finecey

RED LION - Sandra L. (Peters) Finecey, 68, passed away Thursday September 11, 2008 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank F. Finecey and companion to the late Robert Rehmeyer. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday at Bethany United Methodist Church, 121 West Broadway, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 3-4:00 PM Monday at the Church. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born November 26, 1939 in Columbia, a daughter of the late Joseph Lester Peters and the late Amelia "Jean" (Kauffman) Sheckart; she had attended Columbia High School. As a young adult, Sandra attended Bethany U.M. where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of Red Lion American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary; enjoyed collecting birdhouses; and will be remembered as a loving mother and nature lover who had numerous friends. Mrs. Finecey is survived by two sons, Daniel L. and wife Evelyn Shaw of Felton and Aaron W. and wife Patricia Shaw of Felton, DE; two daughters, Christine S. and husband Charles Moxley of Delta and Gretchen G. and husband Steven Abendshoen of Felton; four grandchildren, Garrett and Trent Shaw, Lydia R. Beyer, and Aaron Shaw, Jr.; two brothers, Joseph Peters of Columbia and Timothy Peters of Wells Tannery, PA; two sisters, Mae McGraw of Mt. Joy and Nancy Young of Mountville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Crawford.
