YORK- Sandra (Hoyt) Englert, 68, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at York Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Paul C. Englert. The couple shared their 47th wedding anniversary on April 15th. A mass of Christian burial service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, October 31, 2008 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 231 S. Beaver St., York, with her pastor Father Samuel E. Houser officiating. A viewing will be held from 7-9:00 PM Thursday, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Englert was born May 24, 1940 in Erie, PA a daughter of the late Dudley and Jeanette (Elwinger) Hoyt. She provided childcare for about 15 years in the York area. Mrs. Englert was a member of the Welcome Wagon since 1985 and then a member with the Welcome Wagon Alumni. She was a bridge enthusiast and enjoyed playing regularly. Mrs. Englert was a regular contributor to Our Daily Bread in York and was a volunteer at York Hospital. Her true passion was spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband Mrs. Englert is survived by two sons, Gregory P. and wife Sallyanne Englert of Springfield, VA and their daughter Samantha and Patrick J. and wife Alysia Englert of York and their son Trevor; a brother Jon and wife Chris Hoyt of Erie, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to York Suburban Dollars for Scholars, 1800 Hollywood Dr., York, PA 17403 or St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 231 S. Beaver St., York, PA 17403.
