Sally K. Sullivan

Pottsville- Sally K. Sullivan, 61, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville. Born in Hyattsville, MD on November 20, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Marietta Wageman Kirk. Sally was a 1966 graduate of Elkton High School. She received her bachelor of arts degree in education media from Millersville State College. Sally worked in several libraries across Schuylkill County over the years and was enriched by her experiences. Sally most recently worked as a receptionist at Manor Care Nursing Home, Pottsville. She was a devoted member of the United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville, where she was an elder and served as a deacon. She enjoyed helping shut- ins by visiting and corresponding with them. She was a member of the Saint Clair Lions Club. She was preceded in death by her brother in law, David C. Sullivan. Sally is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, John C. Sullivan, Pottsville; her mother in law, Pearl Bell, of Saint Clair; her sister in law, Sally Myers, wife of Bruce, of Lansdale; her sister in law Carolyn Sullivan of Bethlehem; her niece and nephew, Kim Taylor and David Sullivan; several great nieces and nephews; several cousins; her three beloved cats, Marta, Collette and Heart. Memorial services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. in the United Presbyterian church, 3rd and Mahantongo Sts., Pottsville. Pastor Jeff Colarossi will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Private interment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park at a later date.
