Ruthetta Mae Ferguson

WEST YORK - Ruthetta Mae (Emig) Ferguson, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her home. Born January 21, 1927 in Dover, a daughter of the late Ervin B. and Myrtle J. (Stover) Emig, she had attended Dover High School and worked at Bendix Corp., AMF and retired in 1989 from Harley Davidson Inc. Ruthetta enjoyed tending to her flowers, walks throughout nature, reading poetry and traveling during her younger years. One trip she especially enjoyed was her travels to Cuba. Ruthetta cherished time spent with her granddaughters and family. Ms. Ferguson is survived by a daughter, Sandra E. and husband Timothy Bupp of York; two granddaughters, Kayla Krebs and husband Robert and Kelsey Bupp; a great grandson, Bryson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Carl W. “Billy” Ferguson; and two brothers, Sherman and Orville Emig. Tribute services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Providence Presbyterian Church, 1215 Church Road, York with Rev. Vince Wood officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
