Ruth V. Grove

RED LION- Ruth V. (Heffner) Grove, 97 passed away on Monday August 5, 2024 at Rest Haven-York. She was the wife of the late Earl James Grove.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation form 10-11 a.m. Pastor Douglas DeStephano will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.

Mrs. Grove was born in Windsor Township on June 7, 1927, the daughter of the late Walter F. and Verna (Snyder) Heffner.

Mrs. Grove was a member of Friedensaal Lutheran Church of Seven Valleys, where she sang in the choir for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was a great housewife.

Mrs. Grove leaves a son, Steven E. Grove and his wife Deb of York; a daughter, Linda C. Enfield of Felton; a grandson, Seth M. Grove and his wife Abagail of Loganville; a great granddaughter, Madelin J. Grove; two sisters, Rose Miller and Brenda Gohn and her husband Bob; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friedensaal Lutheran Church, 9138 White Church Rd., Seven Valleys, PA 17360.
