York—Ruth S. (Mohr) Rossman, 85, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 21, 2010 at York Hospital. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with her pastor, the Rev. Jeff Wilt, officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born November 7, 1924 in York, she was a daughter of the late Charles C. and Nettie I. (Cunningham) Mohr. She was employed with St. Regis Paper Company as an executive secretary for many years, until her retirement. A life member of Saginaw Community Church, she was also a member of the Eastern Star - Chapter 169 and sang with the "Sweet Adelines" for many years. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed golfing and watching the Baltimore Orioles, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Rossman is survived by one son, Gregg A. Gorham and wife, Kristina of York, two daughters, Lini E. Sheffer and companion, Gary Breebeck of New Freedom and Ruth Anne Hall and husband, Jim of Ashland, KY, six grandchildren, Chad and Ryan Sheffer, Nathan Beverly, Lindsay Hall and Bryce and Brock Gorham, two great grandchildren, Colten and Avery Sheffer, one brother, Henry Mohr of Mt. Wolf, three sisters, Marie Brenner of Saginaw, Janet Harmon of Mt. Wolf and Donna Mae Ream of York and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Earl Mohr. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saginaw Community Church, 765 Market Street, Mt. Wolf, Pa 17347.
