Ruth Marie (Stotlemyer) Hildebrand

YORK- Ruth Marie (Stotlemyer) Hildebrand, 86, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at her residence. She was the wife of Dean R. “Pete” Hildebrand. The couple celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on October 4, 2013. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 West Market Street in York, with a visitation from 9-10 a.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Kevin T. Shively will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Dallastown Union Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Born December 16, 1927, in Hanover, PA, Ruth was the daughter of the late Dwight Francis and Ruth Naomi (Shoemaker) Stotlemyer. After 43 years of service, she retired in 1990 as the Executive Secretary to the CEO at York International. Mrs. Hildebrand was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, where she served not only as a Sunday school teacher, Youth Leader, and member of the Chancel Choir, but also served on the Altar Guild and several other committees. She was a life member of York Lutheran Women, Dallastown Golden Age Club and Chorus, and 25-year Continuous Club at York International. She also volunteered for Wellspan Health and Sprenkle Village. Along with her husband, Mrs. Hildebrand leaves two nieces, Pamela Sue Stilton and Salinda Heisler. She was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
