Ruth M. Myers

Lock Haven - Ruth M. Myers, 90 passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008 at Lock Haven Extended Care Unit. She was a former resident of S. Highland Street Lock Haven. She was born December 28, 1917 in Gleasontown, Pa the daughter of LeRoy & Myrtle (Kepler) Aikeley. She was married to Edward C. Myers on July 13, 1941 in Lock Haven who died April 27, 2008. She worked for Piper Aircraft, Fromm's Dry Cleaners and for many years she and her husband were the caretakers at Beth Yehuda Synagogue in Lock Haven for 18 years. Ruth and her late husband spent their summers on Pine Creek in Waterville. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Surviving are one son Randall and his wife Zandra Myers of Mill Hall one brother Raymond and his wife Fern Aikeley of Swissdale. Several nieces and nephews survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters Luella Myers and Rose Shroat and a brother Allen. The funeral service will be held 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Sharon G. Nestlerode officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at Dunnstown Cemetery.
