Ruth M. Kunes

Lock Haven - Ruth M. Kunes, 94 a former resident of Merry Vale Apartments, Beech Creek passed away Thursday morning, February 14, 2008 at Lock Haven Extended Care Unit where she was a patient for one year. Ruth was born in Blanchard on March 24, 1913 the daughter of Leone & Florence (Boone) Kunes. She retired from Lock Haven Hospital in 1982 after 10 ½ years as a nurse aide. Ruth was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and also the Beech Creek American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are one Son: Clifford G. Kunes of Mill Hall one grandson and four great-granddaughters Two sisters Hazel Carr of Anderson, Indiana and Pauline Bowman of Lock Haven She is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Lee Bowman of Tampa, FL, Terry Stull of Lock Haven, Larry Kunes of Mill Hall, Ned Kunes of Blanchard, Bonnie Richner of Mt. Union and Connie Packer of Howard, PA She was preceded in death by two brothers Doyle and Malcolm. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Blanchard Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lock Haven Extended Care Unit in her memory.
