Ruth M. (Charlesworth) Wolf

Ruth M. [Charlesworth] Wolf, 93 of York died Monday, February 5, 2007 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Wolf. A celebration of life service will be 11:00 AM Friday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market Street, York with Rev. Diane Wenthe officiating. A luncheon and visitation time will occur immediately following the memorial service at the Church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born May 1, 1913 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Albert and Nettie G. [Moore] Charlesworth, she was a graduate of Altoona High School. Mrs. Wolf was an avid horticulturist, spending countless hours tending to her personal flower gardens, was active in the York and Honolulu, Hawaii Garden Clubs, and served as a master flower show judge. She was a member of York Historical Society and Out Door Country Club where she is a former Women's Senior Golf Champion. Mrs. Wolf is survived by two sons, Terry L. Wolf of Ridgefield, WA and D. Timothy and wife Juanita Wolf of Belle Mead, NJ; five grandchildren, Tabitha, Abby, Rebecca, Tobias, and Daniel; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry and Donald Charlesworth both of Duncansville, PA; two sisters, Mary Woodhead and Ethel Landis both of Duncansville.
