MILTON - Ruth K. (Whitmire) Ringler, 90, went to be with her lord on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at her residence. Ruth was born in Milton on July 16, 1919 and was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary B. (Steinbach) Whitmire. She had cleaned for people in Harrisburg and Renovo and had worked at the Lewisburg Inn for 14 years. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton, and the Eagles. Ruth was a dart champion at the Eagles Club and enjoyed reading and bingo. She was a generous, kindhearted person. Ruth is survived by three son's and two daughters-in-law; Alvie and Carol Fetzer of Landisville, Wayne and Kay Fetzer of Jersey Shore and Gary Fetzer of Mercer, one daughter and son-in-law; Paula and Craig Keller of Trevorton, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren, three brothers; Danny Whitmire of Harrisburg, Harry Whitmire of Middleburg and Donald Whitmire of New Bloomfield, two sisters; Winnie Mitchell of Texas and Barbara Bressette of Montoursville and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son; Phillip Fetzer, one daughter; Karen Ringler, one brother; Harold Whitmire and four sisters; Dorothy Blackwell, Joanne Velcoff, Marcie Jury and Marjorie Davies. There will be a public viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton. All other services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 Mahoning St., Milton, PA 17847.
