Ruth I. (Heuett) Unger

Lancaster—Ruth I. (Heuett) Unger, 86, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Calvary Fellowship Home in Manheim Township. She was the wife of the late Maynard E. Unger. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7 pm, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. Dr. Charles W. Salisbury of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion. A viewing will be held from 6-7 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family. Born September 28, 1924 in York, she was a daughter of the late Curvin and Verna (Innerst) Heuett. She was employed with Penn Textile for numerous years as a quiller. A former member of Chapel United Methodist Church, she also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed watching classic movies. Mrs. Unger is survived by a daughter, Sandra E. Knaub and husband, Donald of Lititz, three grandchildren, Elaine Mowrer and husband, Andrew of Mt. Joy, Jonathan Knaub and wife, Jeanette of Millersville and Stacy Watkins of Orlando, FL, 5 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois A.
