LEWISBERRY- Russell S. Yinger, 88, of Fairview Twp., passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Holy Spirit Hospital. He was the loving husband of Kathryn J. (Jesth) Yinger. The couple would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on October 26th. A funeral tribute service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 at Lewisberry United Methodist Church, 309 Market St., Lewisberry. A viewing will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry is handling the arrangements. Mr. Yinger was born on January 16, 1920, a son of the late Glenn and Kathryn (Strayer) Yinger. He grew up on the family farm in Lewisberry. Later, he proudly enlisted in the US Army and served during WWII. He was a member of the Lewisberry Fire Co. and the former Lewisberry Lion's Club. Mr. Yinger enjoyed camping and hunting. He was a part of the Breakers Hunting Club in Lycoming Co. In addition to his wife, Kathryn, Mr. Yinger is survived by two loving sons, Dennis A. Yinger and his wife Arline of Berthoud, CO and Neal A. Yinger of Lewisberry; two grandchildren, Glenn Yinger and his wife Tracey and Bonnie Bellipanni and her husband Phillip; six great grandchildren; a brother, Grant Yinger and his wife Marie; and numerous special nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding him in death are two sisters and a son, Kenneth E. Yinger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewisberry United Methodist Church, 309 Market Street, Lewisberry, PA 17339.
