TROY - Russell L. Hall, Age 65, of Fenner Avenue, Troy, PA passed away at home on Sunday, May 12, 2013 with his loving family at his side. Russell was born in Troy on March 1, 1948 son of the late Levi & Alice (Wilber) Hall. He was a graduate of Troy High School and on September 20, 1969 married the former Rosalie Holton. Russell and Rosalie celebrated 43 years together. Russell recently retired from the former Masonite Corporation following 45 years of service. Russell was an avid and accomplished bowler. He was a member of the 700 Club and involved with many bowling leagues. He would often sub for those in need and could often be found having coffee at Terrace Lane Bowling Center in Troy. His other interests included golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy, Sylvania Lions Club and former member of the Jaycees. Russell also was a coach and umpire for the Troy Little League and was a fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants. Survivors include his loving wife Rosalie Hall of Troy, a daughter Jenelle Hall of Troy and her fiancée William Lower of Ithaca, NY, his sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy & Stephanie Hall of Souderton, PA and Justin and Sabrina Hall of Hampton, VA, two grandsons, Christian and Joshua Hall, a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Joann Hall of Columbia Cross Roads, a sister Bette Hall of Troy, special caregivers, Shirley, Helen Kay and Jean, also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Russell was predeceased by his parents, a sister Shirley Noble and an infant brother David Hall. Family and friends are invited to call from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Troy, 160 Canton Street, Troy, PA. A memorial service to honor Russell’s life will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1 PM with Reverend Garry Zuber officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA. The family will provide their own flowers and have asked the donations in Russell’s name be made to the First Baptist Church of Troy, 160 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947 or to the Susquehanna Health Foundation attn: Hospitality Inn, 1001 Gramplan Blvd, Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements are under the Direction of the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA 16947.
