Lewisburg - Russell E. Baker, 71 of Churches Road, passed away, Thursday evening, October 4, 2007 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in West Milton on January 22, 1936 the son of the late W. Glyn & Kathryn (Ale) Baker Mr. Baker worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as an equipment operator for 24 ½ years retiring in 1996, earlier he worked at Milton Manufacturing. He was married to the former Evelyn J. Gordner on June 30, 1956 the celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. He was a member of United in Christ Lutheran Church, Lewisburg. He enjoyed hunting, farming, puzzles and he especially enjoyed caring for his yard and John Deere Tractors. He and his wife traveled extensively in their motor home throughout the United States with Dollie & Donald Spink He was a member of the Patriotic Order of Sons of America, West Milton. Surviving are his loving wife: Three Sons Russell (Vicki) Baker, II of Lewisburg, Randy (Gayle) Baker of Forest Hill and Rodney Baker of Lewisburg. Two daughters: Terry Funk of Lewisburg and Tammy (Charlie) Catherman of Forest Hill 13 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandson One brother Gerald G. (Caroline) Baker of Lewisburg. One sister: Cheryl D. Baker of Lewisburg He was preceded in death by a grandson Christopher The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 8, 2007 at United in Christ Lutheran Church, 1875 Churches Road, Lewisburg with Rev. Catrina Ciccone officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the church on Monday from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at White Deer Church Cemetery, Kelly Twp. Memorial Contributions can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Evangelical Hospice or United in Christ Lutheran Church, P.O.
