Russell C Lauer

HELLAM – Russell C. Lauer, 95, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. Russell was the husband of the late Geneva (Dayton) Lauer, who passed away on February 2, 2011. The couple had been married for 61 years. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road York, PA 17408 is in charge of arrangements. Born on June 15, 1924, he was a son of the late Russell and Minnie (Myers) Lauer. Russell was a plant laborer with Teledyne McKay Co. for 40 years. Mr. Lauer served our country for three years in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. Russell was a member at Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid golfer in his spare time. Russell is survived by his son Stephen Lauer and his wife, Brenda of York; two grandsons, Phillip Lauer of Hellam and Todd Snyder and wife, Jessica of Felton; two brothers Jack Lauer of York and Bob Lauer and his wife, Jane of York.
