Lewisberry — Russel M. Urich, Jr., 83, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Manor Care Health Services-North. He was the husband of the late Myrna I. (Eichelberger) Urich A Celebration of Life Service will be 9:30 AM, Monday, October 22, 2012 at Fairview Bethel Church of God, 800 Old Forge Rd, New Cumberland with the Rev. Larry Billet officiating. A viewing will be held from 8-9:30 AM, Monday at the church. Burial will be held in Emanuel Cemetery. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born September 13, 1929 in Lewisberry, he was a son of the late Russel M. Urich, Sr., and Bertha (Wentz) Urich. He was self employed as a plasterer for 8 years and then became a route salesman for Irwin’s Dairy and Lenkerbrook Dairy in Camp Hill. After his work with the dairies he took employment with West Shore Paper Supply as a salesman for several years until his retirement. He was a member of Lisburn Church of God where he was council president and superintendent of the Sunday school for many years. A member of the West Shore Lodge 681, he was also a member of the Rise and Shine Bowling League, Metropolitan Area Singles, was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed golfing. Mr. Urich is survived by two sons, Gerald R. Urich and wife, Gail of Hummelstown, and Allen E. Urich and wife, Shelley of Lewisberry; one daughter, Norma J. O’Toole and husband, Tom of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Andrea Nock and husband, Hasan, Greg Urich, Michael and Madison Urich and Susan O’Toole; one great grandchild, Kellen Nock; three sisters, Annalee Nesbit of Ellicott City, MD, Mildred Watts of Palmyra and Ruth Wolf of Etters; dear friend, Alice Ream and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Chester and Nelson Urich. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave, York, Pa 17403 or Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, Pa 17110.
