Ruby H. Bailey

WILLIAMSPORT - Ruby H. Bailey, 103, a former resident of Jerome Ave., passed away, Monday, March 28, 2011 at Rose View Center where she was a resident. Ruby was born October 1, 1907 in Jersey Shore, the daughter of Edward and Annie (Prutzman) Hunt. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Benson of Kissimmee Florida, a grandson Richard Fehnel of Barre, VT, a granddaughter, Robin Schmidt of Sarasota, FL and four great-grandsons. She was the wife of Forrest Bailey who preceded her in death. They were married for 55 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 89 years. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, 380 W. Fourth Street, Williamsport. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Dr. Rob Manzinger and assisted by Gwen Bernstein. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport.
