Rozella M. Myers

York Rozella M. Myers, 102, passed away Sunday February 18, 2007 at the York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive. Viewing will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday February 23, 2007 at Salem Lutheran Church, 99 York Road in Jacobus. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Ray Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York is in charge. Rozella was born on May 28, 1904 in Jacobus. She was the daughter of the late Emanuel R. and Claudia (Shearer) Myers. Ms. Myers retired as a cigar maker from Bayuk Cigar Company in 1969 after over 40 years of employment. She was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jacobus, where she sang in the choir, served as a Sunday school teacher, was a member of the Lutheran Church Women, and the Covergirls quilting group. She was also a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Goodwill Fire Company. Rozella is survived by seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
