Royce E. Patterson

RED LION- Royce E. Patterson, 80, passed away Saturday December 31, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Louise A. (Strausbaugh) Patterson. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 12. Services for Mr. Patterson are private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Patterson was born on January 23, 1931 in Winterstown, a son of the late Preston and Annabelle (Eppley) Patterson. Royce was a 1948 graduate of Red Lion High School. He worked as a mason and was a member of York Bricklayers Local 16 for 50 years. Mr. Patterson was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Red Lion. Mr. Patterson is survived by a son, Ronald Patterson and his wife, Reda of Red Lion; a daughter, Brenda Anderson and her husband, Carroll of Red Lion; and four grandchildren, Sara, Adam, Grant and Carrie. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Blue.
