Roy Donald Knutson

WRIGHTSVILLE- Roy Donald Knutson, 88, of Lower Windsor Township, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Pleasant Acres. He was the husband of E. Joan Knutson. The couple celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on May 22, 2019. A private burial will take place in Ogdensburg (Park) Cemetery in Iola, WI. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Red Lion is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mr. Knutson was born in Iola, WI on February 20, 1931, the son of Lester and Adeline (Rice) Knutson. He retired from the US Army attaining the rank of Warrant Officer after over 30 years of service, serving in both Korean and Vietnam wars. Roy loved attending church services, singing, and helping the community as a whole. He was very generous, had a great sense of humor, and could often be heard whistling. Mr. Knutson leaves a son, Ralph Knutson; two daughters, Robin Vick and Ronda Campbell; grandchildren, great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Lou Strand; and a stepchildren, Charles, David, John, and Joe Taglieri.
