LOCK HAVEN - Roy C. Duck, 83, a former longtime resident of Loganton passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Haven Rehab and Skilled Nursing, Lock Haven. He was born May 10, 1930 in Loganton the son of the late Russel and Jennie (Bower) Duck. His first wife Lottie (Nilson) Duck died in 1970 and his second wife Shirley (Cain) Duck died in 2004. Roy retired from Lucas Trucking as a truck driver. He was a member of the Southern Clinton County Sportsmen’s Association and the Lions Club of Loganton. He was an avid hunter. He served in the Army during the Korean War in the 15th Infantry as a medic where he received the Korean Service Medal and two Bronze Stars. Surviving are one son LeRoy A. (Beth) Duck, of Loganton and a daughter Jodi Cokeley of Lock Haven. Four Grandchildren (Amanda, Melanie, Casey and Allison) Two brothers Arnold Duck of Attica, NY and Terry Duck of Williamsport also three sisters Eleanor Lannen of Lock Haven, Catheryn Kenelley and Virginia Bonnell both of Avis. A brother Farrell H. Duck preceded him in 1945. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Rosecrans. Military honors will be conducted be the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. There will be no viewing or visitation. Helt Funeral Chapel, Mill Hall has charge of arrangements.
