Rosetta May (Leiphart) Krout

WINDSOR- Rosetta May (Leiphart) Krout, died on Friday, August 27, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late James C. Krout who passed away on January 15, 1990. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Krout was born on March 22, 1923 in Lower Windsor, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Elsie (Deckman) Leiphart. Rosetta worked as an Over Wrapper for the House of Windsor Cigar Co. for 46 years until her retirement in 1989. Mrs. Krout enjoyed baking, decorating and selling cakes, quilting and crafts. Mrs. Krout is survived by one brother, Calvin C. Leiphart of Red Lion; one sister, Viola Wilt of Dallastown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin Leiphart, Charles H. Leiphart, and John Leiphart; and two sisters, Esther Loucks and Gertrude Robinson.
