Rosemma May 'Rose' (Becker) Kohr

YORK- Rosemma May “Rose” (Becker) Kohr, 97, formerly of Dover, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Pleasant Acres in York. She was the wife of the late Morgan H. Kohr. The couple was married in 1937. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The Reverend Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Kohr was born in York on December 9, 1915, the daughter of the late Austin Becker and Alvena (Wise) March. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Kohr was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Dover and had attended Providence Presbyterian Church in Shiloh. She attended Camp Curtain School in Harrisburg and was a graduate of Thompson’s Business School in York. Mrs. Kohr leaves a son, Morgan Austin “Mak” Kohr of Chapin, South Carolina; a daughter, Brenda Kohr Crone of York; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, and a great, great grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Jesse Kohr and a sister, Troupier Hockensmith.
