Rosella V. (Sanders) Myers

YORK – Rosella V. (Sander) Myers, 78, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at her home. She was the wife of Jacob D. Myers to whom she was married for 54 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, The Rev. Jennifer Ryerson officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born January 16, 1937 in York a daughter of the late Paul G. and Almeda K. (Hildebrand) Sanders, she was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mrs. Myers had worked at the Bon-Ton Dept. Store in downtown York where she would create the storefront window dressings and decorate the store. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, cooking, and always loved to decorate. Rosella was an active member of Longstown United Methodist Church and its Ladies Group. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Myers is survived by a daughter, Angela R. and husband Paul Swarm of Lancaster; a son, Randy J. and wife Carin Myers of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, Elliott, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, and Christina Myers; two brothers, Spurgeon P. Sanders of Red Lion and Robert J. Sanders of Tioga; and a sister, Donna L. Scott of York. Memorial contributions may be made to Longstown U.M.C., 2975 Carol Rd., York, PA 17402.
