Rosella L. (Luckenbaugh) Becker

GLEN ROCK- Rosella L. (Luckenbaugh) Becker, 78, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of Thomas C. Becker to whom she was married to for 42 years. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Church of Christ of Hanover, 1560 Wanda Dr., Hanover with her brother in law, Minister Barry Becker officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Becker was born on July 14, 1933 in Hanover, a daughter of the late Robert L. and Clara E. (Cooley) Luckenbaugh. Rosella worked as a Sprayer and Box maker for Sylvania Shoe until her retirement in 1995. Mrs. Becker was an active member of Church of Christ of Hanover where she was involved with the food bank. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to the casinos, especially Charleston. Along with her husband, Thomas, Mrs. Becker is survived by two sons, Thomas C. Becker, Jr. and his wife, Rita of Lineboro, MD and Russell L. Becker and his wife Caroline of Camp LeJeune, NC; two daughters, Linda M. Brooks and her husband, Meril of Hanover and Barbara Wiemer and her husband, Kirby of Waterloo, NY; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Howard Luckenbaugh; one sister, Vivian Harrison; and a brother in law, Barry Becker. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Cooley and Phillip Luckenbaugh; and three sisters, Phyllis Sipling, Kathleen Trish and Letha Weaver.
