Ronny L. Marshall

RED LION - Ronny L. Marshall, 70, of Windsor Twp., died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Sylvia C. (Frey) Marshall to whom he was married for 49 years on April 11. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. A celebration of life service will be 11:00 AM on Thursday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with a viewing from 9-11:00 AM. The Rev. Golden A. Gaither and the Rev. Marcy H. Nicholas will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Marshall was born August 27, 1937 in Dallastown, a son of the late Robert and Ruth (Fry) Marshall. He retired in 1996 from Caterpillar in York. Mr. Marshall was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Yoe, Collinsville Fish & Game, and was a US Navy veteran. He was a 1955 graduate of Dallastown High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Marshall leaves a loving son, David L. Marshall and wife Buffy of Red Lion; four loving daughters, Sherry C. Marshall of Yoe, Lori A. Mann and husband Mike of Felton, Kay M. Smith and husband Curt of Red Lion, and Beth A. Rabuck and husband James of Geneva, IL; five grandchildren; a step-grandson; a great-grandson; a brother Lynn Marshall of Elk Park, NC; and two sisters, Rita Starner of Dallastown and Holly Zumbrum of Hanover. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter; a step-grandson; and a brother Gary Marshall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA/ Hospice, 218 East Market St., York, PA 17403.
