Ronald M. Marth, 73, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. For over 52 years, Ron was the loving husband of Nancy “Pat” S. (Sutphin) Marth dedicating his life to hard work, family, and community. 

Born July 9, 1951 in Tacoma, Washington, Ron was the son of the late Ronald and Agnes (Mroczkowski) Marth. After high school, Ron went on to attend the University of Maryland at College Park and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then began his professional career working in power generation for Pepco in Washington, DC as a Mechanical Engineer where he worked for over 35 years. Ron was a dedicated lifetime member of the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department located in Charles County, MD and served in many roles over the years including President, Vice President, and Secretary. In his free time during retirement he developed a love for stained glass and enjoyed creating many stained glass pieces especially ornaments for his grandchildren and pieces for his wife, daughter, and daughter-in-law each Christmas. Ron also enjoyed watching NASCAR and especially spending time with his family. 

In addition to his beloved wife, Ron is survived by his children, Eric Marth and his wife Jennifer, Kimberly Ciresi and her husband Michael; six grandchildren, Colin, Aubrey, Austin, Andrew, Cole, and Reed; three siblings, Jo Ann Brown, James Marth, and Joseph Marth; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his two sisters, Agnes Marie Marth, and Elizabeth Williams.

A Celebration of Life Service is to be held at a later date at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Hunger Free York County Food Bank in York, Pennsylvania in his memory.
