Ronald L. Spangler

HAVRE DE GRACE- Ronald L. Spangler, 81, died on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at The University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Lana A. Spangler. The couple planned to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary on June 15th. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. A viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Born on March 5, 1937 in York, he was the son of the late Ivan and Sevlla (Seneft) Spangler. He graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachlor’s of Science Degree in Film Producing. Ronald was a self-employed consultant, broker, TV producer and pilot. Mr. Spangler was a member of Emory United Methodist Church in Street, MD. Ronald was an avid car enthusiast. Along with his wife, Lana, Ronald is survived by two sons, Dr. Ronald Spangler, Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Arlington, MA and Pavel Savoskin of Havre De Grace, MD; two daughters, Kathleen Phelps and husband, Dan of Lutherville, MD and Beth Spangler of Frederick, MD; six grandchildren; and several cousins.
