Watch Video Tribute WRIGHTSVILLE - Ronald L. Eaton, Jr., 45; and Peggy L. (Jenkins) Eaton, 41, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Ronald and Peggy were married 23 years on December 28, 2008. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 28, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Visitations will be held from 6-9:00 PM Thursday and 12-2:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Eaton was born September 17, 1963 in Harrisburg a son of Agnes (Zagel) Eaton and Ronald L. Eaton, Sr. of Wrightsville. Ron was a 1981 graduate of Red Lion High School and had attended several technical schools including YTI and York Co. School of Technology. He was a mechanical engineer for Hoover Design and Manufacturing, LLC for 12 years and had previously been a machinist at York Tool and Die. Mr. Eaton was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time at his family hunting camp in Mifflin Co.; he was an accomplished carpenter and liked working on his own vehicles. He was a member of Red Lion American Legion and VFW, and National Rifle Assoc. Ron was a US Army veteran having served in the 82nd Airborne during the Grenada Conflict and Sinai Desert action. Mrs. Eaton was born June 26, 1968 in York a daughter of the late Marian Jenkins. She had also attended Red Lion High School. Peggy was currently pursuing her nursing certification at YBI and was a dedicated animal lover. She enjoyed pampering her two dogs. Mr. and Mrs. Eaton are survived by a son, Ryan L. Eaton and companion Charlene Robinson of York; and a grandson, Steven Ray Robinson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Eaton is also survived by two brothers, Robert T. and wife Bonnie Eaton of Red Lion and Randall L. Eaton of Airville; a sister, Cynthia A. Stump of Windsor and her daughter Heather N. Stump; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mrs. Eaton is also survived by cousins, Danny, Noah, and Jared Smith, Joyce Daryman, and Lisa Clutter; and aunts and uncles. Memorial contributions Peggy and Ronald may be made to SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406 or to a favorite animal shelter.
