RED LION – Ronald I. “Ron” Parr, II, 51, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at York Hospital. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his brother, The Rev. Dennis S. Myers officiating. A viewing will be held from 12-2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born November 27, 1963 in York a son of Joyce A. (Waltersdorff) and her husband Larry Stauffer of Hanover and the late Ronald I. Parr, he was a 1981 graduate of York Vo-Tech. He worked at Tate Access Flooring. Ron was a member of NRA and enjoyed spending time at the shooting range and loved playing the guitar and listening to music. He was a technology aficionado who was often tinkering with computers and other tech equipment. Ron was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In addition to his mother, Mr. Parr is survived by a daughter, Kayla M. Parr and her fiancé, Daniel Jones of York; a step granddaughter, Serenity Jones; a brother, Rev. Dennis S. and wife Judy Myers of Rehoboth Beach, DE; a sister, Nena L. Robinson of Lopez, PA; and his former wife, Penny Shatzer Baker of York.
