Ronald F. Heffner

POTTSVILLE - Ronald F. Heffner, 75, of Pottsville, died on Friday at his residence in the Michael Close apartments. Born in Pottsville on January 3, 1934, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Arlene M. (Scheckler) Heffner. Ron was employed by AARP Foundation. He was also formerly employed by Hair International, in Orwigsburg where he was a supervisor. Ron was a volunteer at the Pottsville Food Pantry. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving Ron are: a sister, Earlamay Downing, Pottsville; four nieces, Karen and her husband Robert Beruck, Pottsville, Darlene Bainbridge, Pottsville, Rachelle Downing, Harrisburg, and Donna and her husband Glenn Konsavage, Auburn; two nephews, William Welker, Dayton, OH and Kevin Downing, New Ringgold; and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by: a brother Harry Heffner; a niece Gail Shaw; a nephew Glen Downing; and a great nephew Dennis Shaw. Life celebration services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville. Vicar Seth Novack will officiate. Family and friends may call from the funeral home from 9 AM until time of service. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
