SALT SPRINGS, FL - Romualdo Angelo “Marlo” Palmieri, II, 72 formerly of Felton, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, FL. He leaves his loving wife Sandra (Firestone) Palmieri. The couple celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on August 3, 2012. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Pastor Samuel Firestone will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Marlo was born in Scranton on February 20, 1941, the son of the late Romualdo A. Palmieri and Columbia (Cappellini) Weaver. He worked as a machinist at Johnson Controls in York. Marlo was past President of U.A.W. local 1872 in York, served on the Board of Directors of the United Way, was an Officer of York and Adams County Labor Council, a member of the Board at RITC of York, and served on The York Area Labor Day Parade Committee, where he received the Labor Participation Award. He was a 1958 graduate of Milton Hershey High School and was a member of New Beginnings Church of God in Salt Springs, FL. Along with his wife Sandra, Marlo leaves six children, Angelo Palmieri and his wife Linda of Red Lion, Sundra Detter and her husband Steve of Red Lion, Kallie Shutz and her husband Marc of Dallastown, Steve Snell of Gettysburg, Tim Snell of Dover, and Butch Snell and his wife Michelle of Pleasureville; 10 grandchildren; a great grandson; and a step brother, Leslie Weaver of Reading.
