Romaine E. (Grim) Stabley

YORK - Romaine E. (Grim) Stabley, 81, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Donald W. Stabley. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 pm Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. James House officiating. A visitation will be from 1-2 pm at the funeral home. Burial is private at the request of the family. Mrs. Stabley was born April 24, 1927, in Windsor Twp, a daughter of the late Martin H. and Maggie E. (Grove) Grim. She was a former employee of Autokraft Box Corporation for 32 years until her retirement. Mrs. Stabley was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Red Lion. Romaine was involved with the Red Lion Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching golf, bowling and was an avid Orioles fan. She loved gardening and spending time with her beloved family. Mrs. Stabley is survived by a son, Marty H. Stabley and wife, Jenny of Hershey; a daughter, Beverly E. Nowell and husband, Ron of Red Lion; and four grandchildren, Roxann and Donald Werner, and Meredith and Will Stabley. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clair W. and Carl H.;one sister, Pauline Grim; and a friend, Dean E. Winemiller. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Stabley asked for everyone to do something nice for a friend or family member.
