Romaine C. Herman

ETTERS - Romaine C. (Palm) Herman, 96 died Saturday, June 2, 2012. She was the wife of John Clayton Herman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Newberrytown Church of God, 2290 Old Trail Rd. in Etters, with a viewing from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Pastor David A. Yost will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery in Etters. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street in Lewisberry, PA. Mrs. Herman was born in Harrisburg on July 29, 1915. She worked for Paid Prescription, PA Automotive Association, and retired as a secretary from Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She was a member of Newberrytown Church of God, was a 1933 graduate of Ickesburg High School, and received a degree in Business Administration from Carlisle Commercial College. She was a member of Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, Red Land Women’s Club, Red Land Senior Center, and Homemakers. Mrs. Herman leaves two sons, George E. Herman and his wife Anita D. of York; and John Herman, II and his wife Mari Elise Reesey-Herman of Pembroke Pines, FL; three grandchildren, Inesa V. Herman of Manchester, Joshua D. Herman and his wife Athena of Peoria, Il, and Christopher M. Herman of York; and two great grandchildren Amalea Rose Herman and Grayson Pierce Herman. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Newberrytown Church of God, 2290 Old Trail Rd., Etters, PA 17319.
