Roger E. Shellenberger

Roger E. Shellenberger, 100, of Middleburg and a former resident of Milton died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at his residence. He was born in New Columbia, April 28, 1912 the son of John and Amy (Hause) Shellenberger. He was married to the former Garghyn Bierly who died in 1979. He was a self-employed barber in Milton for 30 years. Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a former member of the Moose, VWF and the American Legion all of Milton. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Marysville. He was a veteran of WWII where he served in the Army Air Force. Surviving are his companion Joan Moyer a son Bruce D. Shellenberger of Enola and two grandchildren. Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
