Rodger E. Arnold

Hanover- Rodger E. Arnold, 71, formerly of York, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at his residence. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Waltermeyer) Arnold. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2007. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 947 N. George Street in York, with a visitation from noon to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Arnold was born in York on December 2, 1936, a son of the late Carl and Melinda (Dietz) Arnold. He retired from the former St. Onge, Ruff & Associates in York, as Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Arnold leaves two daughters: Robyn Eisensmith and her husband Randy of Mountvale, NJ and Dawn Birmingham and her husband Robert of York, two grandsons: Jacob and Nicholas Eisensmith, and six brothers: Carl Arnold and his wife Ellenor, Richard Arnold and his wife Mary Jane, Robert Arnold, Marvin Arnold and the late Janet, George Arnold and his wife Bonnie, and Theodore Arnold and his wife Puddie. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Arnold.
