Roberta Florence Smith

Renovo - Roberta F. (Mason) Smith, 85 of Pennsylvania Ave., S. Renovo, passed away September 11, 2007 at Bucktail Medical Center. She was born October 1, 1921 in Renovo the daughter of the late Perry & Maude (Sterner) Mason. She was married to Kenneth Smith who preceded her in death. Mrs. Smith was employed as a laborer for Piper Aircraft and earlier she worked at the railroad shops during WWII and also the former Renovo Hospital. She was a member of the Moose lodge and loved spending time with her family. She was known for her outgoing personality. Surviving are one Son James (Linda) Mason of Lafayette, LA 3 grandchildren (Joslyn, Jeffery & Karen) 3 Great Grandchildren Three Sisters: Maude Campbell and Lola Hyde both of Renovo also Shirley Maziarz of Scranton. Several Nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters The funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo with Martha Sykes officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the Maxwell Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions can be made to Bucktail Medical Center in her memory.
