Robert W. Harlacker

Red Lion — Robert W. Harlacker, 88, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at his residence in Red Lion. He was the husband of the late Hilda E. (Ferree) and Donna M. (Strobeck) Harlacker. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7 PM, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Rev. Timothy Funk officiating. A viewing will be held from 6-7 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born December 15, 1926 in Dallastown, he was a son of the late Chester and Emma (Warner) Harlacker. He was employed as a mason with Curtis M. Hoffman for 40 years until his retirement in 1998. Following his retirement he worked as a grounds keeper with Windsor Township. A United States Army Veteran of World War II, he was also a member of the Red Lion American Legion, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by one son, Mark E. Harlacker and his wife, Lisa of Red Lion; one daughter, Kathy L. Kretz and her husband, James of Dallastown; 2 step children, Michael Kehr and his wife, Bobbi of York and Ann Larkin of York; six grandchildren, Brittany and Shanley Harlacker, Sean Knull, Heather Lehr and Jon and Jud Larkin; three great grandchildren, Cole, Dylan and Emma; two sisters, Shelva Dehoff and Colleen Flinchbaugh and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Smith.
