PITTSTON- Robert Thomas Baclasky, 80, of Pittston, passed at Manor Care Nursing Home, Kingston, on Wednesday, November 25th,2009. "Bob" as he was fondly known to family and friends, was born on May 5, 1929, He was a son of the late Dominic and Mary (Kelly) Baclasky. Bob served in the U.S. Army Security Agency during the Korean War and Occupation of Germany. Afterwards he was employed by the National Security Agency as a civilian. Bob was always known for his compassion and generosity. He will truly be missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father Stephen Barbush, former wife Claire ( McGinty) Baclasky and two nephews Jimmy Baclasky and Patrick McGinty. Bob is survived by his loving children Mary Louise Everett of Ventura, Ca, Carol Sandridge of Oak Hills, Ca, Allan Baclasky of Fort Collins, Co., and Stephen Baclasky of Hesperia, Ca. along with his brother William Baclasky of Avoca, and his sister Margaret McGonigle, Whitehall PA. The survivors also include 12 grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:30PM. on Saturday , November 28th, 2009 at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc, 728 Main St. , Avoca PA 18641. Friends may call from 4:00 till time of service. Bob will receive full Military Honors on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery to honor Bob for his faithful and loyal service to the U. S. Army
