Robert S. Reichard

CONEWAGO TOWNSHIP-Robert S. Reichard, 74, of York died Friday, March 4, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of Janet M. (Lockard) Reichard. The couple celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on February 12, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York with full military honors provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. The Reverend Dr. James Crawford will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday and 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Reichard was born in Sandy Ridge, PA on April 26, 1936, a son of the late Sherman and Gussie (Kayma) Reichard. He retired in 1987 from Graham Architectural after 26 years, where he was a Plant Supervisor after his MS had progressed. Mr. Reichard was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in York. He enjoyed the outdoors; some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and golf. He served in the US Army in the Korean War. Along with his wife Janet, Mr. Reichard leaves a son, Douglas Reichard and his wife Kathleen of York; four grandchildren, Anna, Paige, Collin, and Grant; a daughter, Cynthia Reichard of York; two sisters, Leabelle Waite and her husband William of York and Lorraine Domenick of York, a sister-in-law, Shirley Reichard and numerous nieces and nephews. A brother, George Reichard, and two grandchildren Mitchell and Trisha preceded him in death.
